Meet Melvin


Melvin Johnson is a fitness coach that takes an education first approach with each of his clients. His approach to fitness can be attributed to understanding that many people are not fully aware of their body’s biomechanics, how to use exercise equipment while maintaining proper form, or losing fat versus losing weight. He uses his personality, which is direct and to the point, to communicate effectively to all of his clients.

Since 2002, Melvin has been involved with achieving personal success with each of his clients, health club members, and trainers. Over the years, he has trained hundreds of clients assisting them with fat loss, overall strength and conditioning, cardiovascular and muscular endurance, and daily nutrition. His certifications are with International Sports Sciences Association, the Cooper Institute, and American College of Sports Medicine.

After spending time as General Manager for LA Fitness in Duncanville and Grand Prairie, Texas, Melvin responded to numerous suggestions to start his own training business. His passion for helping others is what motivates him to excel with his clients. He has struggled with both gaining muscle and losing fat, therefore he can relate to all of his clients. “People love to be connected with their peers; I consider myself just that because I know what it’s like for my clients, I’ve been there.”
